Testing a Deckra stand with Traktor Z1/X1 by Native instruments

The Backstory

My friend Daniel recently stopped by the studio with his Native Instruments Traktor Z1. Like many DJs in Dubai, he’s been looking for a way to make his setup more ergonomic. The Z1 is a classic, but sitting flat on a desk isn't always ideal for visibility or comfort during a high-energy set. We decided to see how it would look and feel on our Deckra Universal Stand Lite SE10.

Why the SE10?

I chose the Deckra USL-SE10 model because it’s the perfect fit for the Z1's or the X1's footprint. The SE10 is a unique configuration in our modular system, designed specifically for gear that needs a deep, stable base.

  • The 30-Degree Advantage: We set it up with a fixed 30-degree tilt. This is the "sweet spot" for ergonomic viewing, making it much easier for Daniel to see his mappings and FX levels without leaning over his gear.

  • Rock-Solid Stability: Because we used our Extension Side Panels, the stand provides a full 28 cm of depth. Even when Daniel was hitting the buttons and encoders hard, the high-grade PETG material held everything perfectly still.

Watch it in Action

One of the best things about the Deckra system is how quickly it comes together. I filmed a quick video of the assembly and dismantle process so you can see the modular rods in action. It takes less than a minute to go from flat-packed to booth-ready.

The Verdict

Daniel was impressed by how the stand beautifully integrated with his gear, giving it a professional, custom-made look rather than that generic, mass-produced feel. It’s a game-changer for home studios and club booths alike.
